Locality:USA. Alabama. Mobile: Dauphin Island. Near east end of the island's golf course. A single plant (#1714) was found in November 2011 along with the expansive dune system located approximately 0.1 miles northwest of this collection.
Habitat:Scattered individuals along base of remnant forested dune with live oaks.

Description:A single plant sprawling among saw palmetto (Serenoa repens). Vegetated with Pinuns elliottii, Quercus geminata, Q myrtifolia, Ceratiola ericoides, and Chrysoma pauciflosculosa. 
Habitat:Undisturbed scrub thickets of expansive, high-elevation, forested dune ridge system.
