Habitat: | Mesic longleaf pine-oak-dogwood-grass on rolling upland, grading down to moist flat and creek. High species diversity - a 20x50 m sampling plot yielded 105 species including 25 grasses. Last burned in March or April 1998. Uncommon, with Andropogon gyrans, A. virginicus, A. ternarius, Aristidxa purpurascens, A. beyrichiana, Eragrostis spectabilis, Schizachyrium scoparium, S. tenerum, Sorghastrum secundum, Paspalum bifidum, Sporobolus junceus, Gymnopogon brevifolius |
