Description:Perennial herb, 1 m tall, corolla pale lavender, anthers red; locally common. With Pinus elliottii, Ilex myrsinites, I. glabra, I. opaca, Centrosema virginianum, Chamaecrista, Smilax, Rubus, Diodia, Hydrocotyle bonariensis, Myrica, Uniola, Vitis, Crotala 
Habitat:Coastal strand, back side of somewhat stabilized fore dunes.
