Description:Rhizomatous perennial, corolla dark yellow with mustard yellow spots, anthers yellow; common. With Pinus elliottii, Ilex myrsinites, I. glabra, I. opaca, Centrosema virginianum, Chamaecrista, Smilax, Rubus, Diodia, Hydrocotyle bonariensis, Myrica, Uniola 
Habitat:Coastal strand, back side of somewhat stabilized fore dunes.
