As cited above, C.L. Boynton & Beadle (in Small 1903, p. 1340) clearly indicated "#851a" at the Biltmore Herbarium (later transferred to US) as the type material. However, the holotype at US was erroneously annotated as an "isotype" by Perdue. --B.R. Keener
